Day 2

It’s 9pm. I’m actually feeling pretty good!  First of all, we are supposed to weigh in every day. So, I’m down 4.5lbs since Sunday. Travis is down 3lbs since yesterday (first time he weighed).

Believe it or not, I like taking the drops. They taste good! The flavor is a mix of watermelon and marshmallow, which are two of my favorite things. I’m actually looking forward to it every time we take them.  Our b12 came today and I already feel like it made a difference.  I had much more energy today. There were only a few times that I felt tired or hungry.

So here’s what we had

B- Tea, ACV, Ezekiel Bread, toasted with coconut oil and sprinkled with cinnamon and stevia (YUMM!)
S- Grapefruit
L- chicken w/ Bragg Sprinkle and sauteed spinach (left over from last night)
S-Apple, tea
D- Steak w/ pepper/onion/mushrooms, and pepper slaw (I’ll share the recipe later)

I drank water all day long, always with a lemon wedge, and had 2 pieces of gum.

I feel really good.  Travis is complaining more. Already sounding like he may not stick it out, which scares me because I’m not so sure of how I’ll do on my own.   Other than to call Becca and Carol every day….

As for tea, I am drinking the Traditional Medicinals Weightless Tea twice a day. I LOVE the taste of this tea and feel like it has really helped me lose weight and feel healthier in the past. I love all of their teas, so check them out!

Also, drinking 1 Tablespoon of Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar in a large glass of cold water every morning. I feel like this and the tea have always been good gentle ‘helpers’ to me whenever I do a detox. And, call me crazy, but I love the bitter take of the ACV with the cold water. I love vinegar on other things, though. Yumm!!

Everything we are doing is organic as far as fruits/veggies.  Our meats are the grass/grain fed hormone and antibiotic free from the Farmer’s Market.  All of our water is filtered. So I’m really feeling like this is going to detox us better than anything we’ve ever done.  It makes it easier to do organic when we’ve cut out so much of our other foods!

Not much to report today. The hardest part is just not putting stuff in my mouth mindlessly. I knew I was doing that, but taking it completely away makes me REALLY see how much I was.  And I am a littler nervous about Travis sticking it out, as I said. I just feel really responsible for keeping  him ‘happy’ with this, but I have to let it go and let it be his choice. So, we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Ok, as far as the diet, there are several HCG’s out there but quality is VERY important. And, to be honest, so is customer service. You’ll have lots of questions, and Carol is AMAZING! She’s one of my dearest friends and I’ve always hat a lot of confidence in her advice/education about nutrition. I totally challenge you to order the HCG and b12 and do this with me. It’ll be fun!!!

A clove is basically a cigarette with cloves (the spice) mixed in. I shamefully have always loved smoking but never been a ‘smoker’. I know better, health-wise. But once or twice a month Travis and I will relax outside and smoke one clove cigarette, as if we were smoking cigars together. It’s not healthy. You shouldn’t do it!! LOL
